In this Blog we will talk about the steps how to upgrade Telco Cloud Automation Manager From My 1.9.x Version to 2.1 . VMware Telco Cloud Automation from Version 1.9.5 , 2.0, 2.0.1 to 2.1 we have the straight path to upgrade . Before we upgrade Telco Cloud Automation 2.1 we need to ensure that the following hardware resources are met:
Note : My Lab Environment is 1.9.1 i wanted to if you are having Production Environment please don't try to upgrade from 1.9.1 to 2.1 as this is not tested .
Prerequires
Procedure :
Step 1 : Download the patch of TCA 2.1 from my vmware depot.
Step 2 : Take the backup of the tca manager & tca-cp .
Step 3 : Login to the TCA manager https://192.168.90.6:944
Step 4 : Navigate to the Administration -> Upgrade -> Select Browse and upload the bundle
Step 5 : once the bundle image is uploaded it will give you the option to Upgrade it.
Step 6 : Click Upgrade , the upgrade will start
Steps 7 : upgrade completed successfully
Note : Same steps we have to follow for Telco Cloud Automation Control Plane .
Step 8 : Moving to upgrade the Telco cloud automation control plane. Need to follow the same steps.
Step 9 : Login to TCA-CP https://192.168.90.7 :9443
Step 10 : Click on upgrade
Step 11 : Select the TCA 2.1 upgrade bundle and click continue this will start uploading and validating the bundle.
Step 12: One the Validation and upload of the bundle is completed u will see the upgrade button to upgrade the appliance.
Step 13: Click upgrade
Upgrade got completed For TCA-CP without any issues . Once upgrade is completed do login to both your TCA and make sure everything is up and running fine. It took me 20 to 30min to upgrade Each Appliance .
